I want to write songs and songs and more songs, but part of me gets discouraged because I know that they will never be nearly as beautiful as the newest batch of Twilight Singers songs.

I'm glad to see that Jack Black has packed on the pounds lately. I was of the opinion that Skinny Jack Black circa Shallow Hal was a bit of a drag.

My prediction for School of Rock is that it will be Jack Black's Kindergarten Cop. A turning point for our rising star.

A Jack Black family movie.

That features a lot of kids.

So everyone at work has come down with a case of Recall Fever -- someone decided it would be fun to change our AIM buddy icons to various personages running for Govenor. Francisco is Cruz, Kenneth is Gray, Chris is Gary (Coleman, that is), and Sarah G. is Arnold. Me? Straight up representin' the pr0n constituency!

"People often confuse me and Anthony Hopkins. Here's how you can tell the difference: I'm the one nailing Mrs. Hopkins."

The Ess-Dog: So guess why I was throwing up last night.
Me: From your long night of heavy drinking.
The Ess-Dog: No, I got food poisoning from In-N-Out.
Me: Well, they don't call it In-N-Out for nothing!

I am the funniest person I know.

I think this song was written specifically for Cactushead:

Not a lot right now makes sense to me
And I won't go quietly
Not a lot right now makes sense to me
And I won't sit patiently

I don't wanna spend the rest of my life alone
Where's life taking me?
I don't wanna spend the rest of my life alone
Always traveling

I'm gonna chase my dreams and catch up to them
I'm gonna find you somehow, someway, somewhere, someday

I wanna love my job, I wanna love my life
But most of all, I wanna fall in love

The first day of the rest of our lives
I miss you already
The last time I'll see that look in your eyes
I miss you already

From The Onion:

Indian-American Couple's Accent Makes Fight Adorable
SAN DIEGO—A witness to an argument between Indian-Americans Soumitra and Vineeta Chattergee reported Monday that she thoroughly enjoyed the vicious fight. "They were at each other's throats, arguing about which one wrote the check that caused an overdraft," said eyewitness Shelly Knight, who was delighted by the heated exchange while standing in line at Citibank. "Usually, I can't stand it when couples go at it in public, but that accent made them sound so cute." Knight added that she was slightly disappointed when Soumitra stormed out.

There is a gas station on La Cienega that is selling unleaded gasoline for $1.87. This is notable because 98% of gas stations in L.A. are selling gas at $2.00 per gallon minimum (most are around $2.10). The only thing about the gas station with the cheap gas is that it is nameless. There are no markings on the station's sign or its main building at all. It used to be a Shell station (you can tell from the yellow price sign) but it apparently went indie recently because the place where it should say "Shell" was painted over in white.

I am the proud owner of seasons 2-5 of the X-Files, season 1 of Felicity, season 1 of Law and Order, and the first installment of Robotech on DVD. I have yet to finish any of them in their entirety. It will be my mission to play less Gamecube and watch more damn TV in the coming months.

Dammit. And the new season of regular TV starts this month, too.

When I cough, the back of my head hurts. Being sick sucks donkeys. Except for not having to go to work. That part's the bizz-omb.

Because I am the most random person in the world, I was over at the Oracle of Bacon and decided to see how separated Kevin Bacon is from J.K. Simmons (a.k.a. Dr. Skoda on Law and Order). Much to my surprise, the two actors are separated by only one man. I then typed in Ben Stiller to see his relationship to Kev. And wouldn't you know, he was only separated by one person also! The freaky part? Both Stiller and Simmons are separated from Kev by the same person: Gerry Becker.
