So my car got bumped into by some hotshot producer from New York (no, really -- she works for ABC) and now the rear driver's side of my car is all scratched up and dented-ish. Nothing too major, but it still sucks when your baby gets hurt. But I can't help but think of all the times while playing True Crime that I would ram my car into other people's cars and the main character would say, "Relax, I just gave your car some character!" and then I'd be all giggly and saying "Yeah!"

Whoa. My goodness, it's so much better than I had ever expected!

So my grandfather gave me and Megan $999 for the engagement. It's some Chinese tradition to give $999 rather than $1000, because all the nines are good luck but since we're Chinese you'd think it would be $888 because 8 is the Chinese Lucky Number. But I digress. My mom told me he's giving it to us now because he's getting old and been talking about death and how he might not be around for the wedding (in June).

Then I call him up to thank him, and the conversation goes like this:

Me: Hi Grandpa, it's Jeff. How are you doing?
Gramps: Not too good!
Me: ...
Gramps: ...
Me: Um, thanks for the money!
Gramps: Did your mom tell you about the money?
Me: Yeah, thanks for the money.
Gramps [slower]: Did your mom tell you about the money?

So the Ess-Dog may have the best celebrity sighting EVER -- even better than the time I sold Matt LaBlanc a Pepsi and a pack of Camel Lights. She was waiting outside of the little girl's room in some trendy Melrose cafe when out of the potty walks Jake Gyllenhaal AND Kirsten Dunst!
