Yourghost.net was started in January 2002, a week before my 24th birthday. For a few months, I'd been throwing around the idea of purchasing a domain (after five years of being hosted by various free webservers) -- nightswimming.net being a popular choice amongst my online friends and ambulancedriver.net being a personal favorite.  At the time, ambulancedriver.net sounded good but I no longer remember why.  It's not like I drive ambulances or anything.

In a moment of sudden inspiration, I chose yourghost.net and snatched it up. The name is taken from a painting by my good friend Samson that was given to me years and years ago. Sam told me the painting was inspired by a Kristin Hersh song of the same name, so I guess in a way that's where my domain comes from.

People can tell I'm Asian, but often they think I am Filipino because I have crazily tanned skin for someone with my ethnic background.  I'm really an ABC who grew up in the Golden State.  Whatever you do, please do not call my home state "Cali."  That annoys me to no end.

I grew up in Burlingame, CA and pretty much had the typical suburbran teenage experience of liberal amounts of angst mixed with severe bouts of ennui.  I had the greatest friends who always watched my back and mostly kept me out of trouble.  Mostly.

In 1996 I moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA, where I received my degree in psychology in 2000.  I ended up staying in Los Angeles for another 4 years after I graduated.  It was fun until 2002 or so, but then I grew up and realized that Los Angeles was more style than substance.

On Thanksgiving Day 2003 I proposed to the smartest, most beautifulest girl in the world and we got married in June 2004.  Her name's Megan and she knows pretty much everything there is to know.

After spending my entire life in the state of California, we packed up the children and left in August 2004 for the Lone Star State.  I am currently attending the University of Texas graduate program in special education, specializing in autism & developmental disorders.  Needless to say, school has kept me busy and away from doing anything meaningful with this website.

Our children are really three cats, Dexter, Claire and Yoshi.  They sleep a lot and expect to be fed when I:
A) wake up in the morning and
B) get home at any time of the day.
